Had a look all over the place for a 23mm lnb holder and can only find the multi holders.

ok lancelot I have gone into the settings and disecq settings with simple settings. LNB 1 = Hotbird LNB 2 = Astra 19E but although I have a strong signal from hotbird there is no sound or picture and no signal at all from astra.

Also I have tried in ALTdvb and the disecq settings are alot more confusing any idea with that one?

Don't really use it as it's aimed more at the SS2 which I don't have.

You will need to make the side that's not in the clamp (the Astra side) slightly higher as the sat is slightly lower than HB. Try that.

Sorry I'm not on the ball immediately, I'm scanning 58W to 36E to put the ProgDVB channel list in order at the mo.

Yep I think that maybe the problem lancelot. Got hotbird coming in fine now sound and vision but as the fitting is a little loose if I touch the lnb holder at the moment I lose everything.

@nanochicken. Is the bit you have sawn off 40mm or 23mm? It looks 40 but if you have a 23mm adapter to go with it I will gladly take it off your hands m8.

Update number 4092

The way things stand at the moment using Progdvb I can get hotbird channels excellent picture and sound but Astra is dead no signal whatsoever. Using altdvb I can get excellent sound and picture on Astra 19E but Hotbird is dead. Funny old world isn't it. This situation isn't too bad as I do swap between progs quite regularly and the latest progdvb is a lot quicker than other versions I have used, plus I have found a .dll that speeds up the program with P4 cpus, but obviously I would like to be able to get both satellites with both programs.

Seems like Progdvb is switching one lnb and Altdvb is switching the other lnb so it is a diseqc settup prob in the programmes.

seems that way Jim but I have done it the only way I can in the settings. In altdvb when I click on disecq console I am told that the hardware doesn't support disecq 1.2 but there is no option for disecq 1 which I know the ss2 is capable of.

I don't like to tell you this either, but really, you should have the other side clamped and pointing at hotbird, whilst the other one (on the RIGHT when viewed from behind - and now floating in free air) on Astra 1 and a little higher.
