nanochicken. Is the bit you have sawn off 40mm or 23mm? It looks 40 but if you have a 23mm adapter to go with it I will gladly take it off your hands m8.
Its both mate. You just take it apart and turn the 2 bits round to make it 23mm. If you want it P.M with your address and i'll get it in the post to you.

But it must be set right because I can pick up both satellites just not with the same program. Not had any joy yet on the disecq business but have found a couple of patched drivers that warn can damage your skystar2 but provide disecq 1.2. Basically its a skystar2.sys file.

And PM sent nanochicken you posted your reply while I was typing the above

I don't like to tell you this either, but really, you should have the other side clamped and pointing at hotbird,

You will need to make the side that's not in the clamp (the Astra side) slightly higher as the sat is slightly lower than HB. Try that.
Thought that was clear.

Obviously not explaining as well as I used to

I think I am getting the wrong end of the stick here. With diseqc do I NEED a motor? I thought that the monoblock and the SS2 both had diseqc built in so a motor wasn't needed. Still gonna try the diseqc drivers though

Basic LNB switching only needs the DiSEqC 1.0 standard, which is built in to the SS2 software and which will be supported by the monobloc switch, as DiSEqC 1.0 is the base standard.

You don't need any patched drivers etc.

Sorry I led you astray a bit, but the link you posted was mainly for motors, and the same as the link I gave you.

The main reason that there are a lot of patched drivers out there (some that come with a death warning for your SS2) is that the Skystar doesn't support DiSEqC 1.2 out of the box - you have to patch the drivers.

Bloody hell, I haven't explained that very well either, have I? :roflmao:
