pmsl don't worry about it m8 its getting late and my head is spinning now. Think I will wait now until I get the lnb holder from nanochicken and set it up properly then. I will sort it out eventually you should know me by now

Its on its way mate.

You should get it on Saturday morning. I'm not sure how much use its going to be to you, so its a case of wait and see. :?

cheers m8 give me summat to do tomorrow. That holder has to better than the one I have. Got up this morning and the monoblock has moved about 3 inches lol. Think I may have sorted the diseqc problem in the early hours of this morning too was reading up about it and I have a joint in the cable for putting sat meter in and apparently that can affect switching so I am going to get a new length of cable this afternoon long enough to sort it out

Cheers Nanochicken the clamp arrived about an hour ago and is sat proudly on the end of the arm. Gonna try it out this afternoon. Don't think its set up right will take a couple of pics l8r. Am hoping once its set up and tuned in the diseqc will work.

I still say that you should clamp the other side to get the best performance

Your dish should also be leaning the other way, i.e. / for East and \ for West when viewed from the front.

dish isn't set up properly its only leaning cos its not supported by the logs at the moment. So you mean clamp the astra lnb not the hotbird one and line it up that way?

had a bit more time to play and the problem is the lnb is not looking into the centre of the dish but looks straight along the arm of the dish. The arm has nothing on the end to elevate the lnb (if that makes sense). Any ideas?

Wedged a peg underneath the lnb

can now get astra but no hotbird
