No, I mean clamp the other one, and then THAT ONE is Hotbird

The one floating in the air is Astra 1.

Done that already realised I had clamped the wrong side earlier on today lol . So what i need to do now is line clamped lnb up with hotbird? Should the mid air one be higher or lower than the hotbird one?

Yep.

Higher.

The whole thing acts like a mirror, so because 19E is further East than 13E, the LNB has to physically be nearer to the West.

Likewise, as 19E is lower in the sky, the LNB has to be higher.

bugger bugger bugger. No joy whatsoever today. I can either get hotbird or Astra but not both and only with the right hand lnb (looking from the back) Think I need to get a proper LNB holder for the end of the arm and take it from there. Back on nights tomorrow so you won't be hearing as much from me apart from 4 til 6am

I dont know quite how to ask you this with me being the bringer of doom and gloom :?

Whats the likelyhood that the monoblock could be knackered, or more likely the DiSEqC switch inside could be knackered.

I must admit that i have been stung once or twice on eBay in the past. >

Yes, of course nano could have it there.

It sounds like at least half of the monobloc is working, so I'm wondering if the setup on the PC is correct. Can you post a screenshot of the DiSEqC setup menu?

I've had horrendous problems setting up DiSEqC with ProgDVB in the past, and I think this may be your problem.

I can't think off-hand of an easy and yet foolproof way of testing it though.

I don't suppose you have (or can get hold of) another DiSEqC receiver to test it?

I don't think its knackered cos the other night I had Astra from AltDVB and Hotbird from Progdvb (or the other way round) so I think its the diseqc settings. At the moment the 1st LNB is picking up Hotbird but the other side isn't picking up anything. Here is a screenshot of the disecq bit.

Well, maybe that would work, but the fact that it says DiSEqC 1.2 at the top of the dialogue box bothers me. You should be using DiSEqC 1.0 for switches. DiSEqC 1.2 is for motors.

What other options/menus do you have to play with?
