Default Monoblock fitting problem.

My monoblock LNB has just arrived (£4 off fleabay 0.6db) and in all my excitedness realised that I have no way of fitting the bugger to the arm of the dish I assumed that the current clamp on the end would fit the monoblock but it doesn't. Any ideas or can someone tell me exactly what I need.

TIA

Why doesn't it fit ??
Should be a standard 40mm mounting

Any chance of a piccie of the lnb and the lnb holder on your dish. Might help in trying to figure out how to get it fitted to your dish.

I have one end off a 3 lnb holder if you can make any use of it for fitting your monoblock. I decided to go with just 2 lnbs instead of 3 on my 80cm dish. I just sawed off the bit i didn't need. (piccie below).

If you want it P.M me with your address and i'll get it in the post to you.

nano.

Here is the pic off ebay. I do have a standard 40mm lnb holder on my dish but where you would normally clamp the lnb is a hell of a lot smaller on the monoblock

here is the clamp which I think is the wrong one for the dish on looking closely. The boom arm is round whereas the actual end that fits to it is square. Is this normal?

Is that last picture the original one off your dish, or the one that came with the monobloc?

If the latter, do you have the original clamp that fits your boom arm? The 40mm one?

I think the smaller size is 22mm or so, but you can get adaptors - or you might be able to cut up the one you have and clamp around the outside of it?

Failing that, a nice thick wind of duct tape fixes everything that can't be 'repaired' with WD40

Have thought about the big wodge of tape to bulk it out I only have the one clamp and to be honest I don't know if its the original one or not but I have found out whilst browsing that the lnb I have is actually a skydigital one (skyware 1019 bought off ebay). Think I will give the tape idea a go this afternoon.

It's a 23mm fitting, still used but not common. There are adaptors for this, but duct tape or similar will sort it in the meantime.

Go on then get it fitted and give us a report. !!!

Ok is fitted and right lnb is picking up hotbird but nothing off the left one (viewed from behind). I take it I now need to alter some settings in Progdvb or Altdvb?
