Astra 2A, 2B, 2D and Eurobird 1 are effectively co-located at 28.2E, so yes, one LNB will definitely do it and your plan remains intact
![]() Have a play on 28.2E. You can always go continental later ![]()

Well ive been trying on and off for two days now but im getting no where with receiving any other signals than Astra 1D.
Ive marked the pole the dish is attached to with a marker pen at the base and up at the top , so i have a reference for where Astra 1D is and then ive moved the dish pole marks slightly to the side but althought my sat finder says i have a strong signal when i scan with the Star Box ( sat finder out of the loop or in ) I get nothing.. I have tried different settings , and different Sats from the list in the Star Box software but I get no programs ( tv or radio ) .. so now im stumped and fedup! Just what am I getting wrong ? Am I right in assuming that the movement from 23 east to 28 or 19 east is only a few millimeters ?... And when using a Lidl Sat finder will i see a signal drop from 23 to 26 then 28 or are the Sats so close that i will just get one solid signal ? ( I've even tried setting the Sat finder to -6db ( rain margin ) to try locking on tighter to the Sat signals .... |

You can try setting up your receiver and a portable TV near the dish and use the inbuilt signal meter on the receiver. Just set up the relevent transponder settings from the link below and just move your dish until the signal and quality meters go up.
![]() It works for me. I gave up using the sat finder after about 10 mins of using it. Too confusing i thought. Yes it certainly lets you know if your looking at a satellite but it doesn't tell you which one. http://www.satellitehelp.co.uk/forum...p?topic=1359.0 Its not everyones cup of tea doing it this way, but its the easiest way i've found upto now.

Maybe a few centimeters movement required at the LNB, especially for 19.2E from where we think you are.
You'll also have to lift the dish a few mm (at the LNB) for 19.2E and drop a few for 28.2E. Your meter should drop off between sats. Have a quick read of this post. Have you skewed (twisted) your LNB in the clamp? For 28.2E you would need to twist the LNB maybe 20 degrees anticlockwise if viewed from behind the dish (maybe 15 degrees for 19.2E). You can experiment with this and maximise it when you get close. Maybe you can do that while you're at Astra 1D. Also, pushing the LNB backwards and forwards in the clamp can (will) have an effect. Other than that, are you sure you have no obstructions? Stick with it m8. You are close. I'm sure that like all the other beginners here that have gone through the same pain, that you will emerge victorious with a huge stupid grin on your face ![]()
