Default Universal LNB

Been routing in the shed today and found an old LNb Gardiner Universal digital 0.7db is this likely to be any good still? Have stuck it on a 60cm dish and I am getting a very strong signal on my meter but can't seem to actually get anything with it. I am pretty sure it was working when I put it away and I am also sure it used to pick up skydigi channels but can't remember. Hope I can get it working then would be able to get 4 satellites when I can pick up another dish

9.75ghz to 10.76ghz according to the writing on the lnb itself

Just scanned 19E with it and it has picked up 239 channels including radio stations so i think it may as well go back in the shed as a spare and will stick with the Skyware one for the 60cm dish. I am pretty sure the gardiner was the one I used to use in my D2mac days. Ah well nothing ventured nothing gained.

hi jontydog,iv not done this for many years now,but i remmber when high & low band came out.cut a story short i got a new lnb for all bands.so i drilled out my old lnb that was for middel frequences, inside i found a screw i turned it.this made my veiwing better than before with it.i dont remmber the make of my old lnb.if you fancey a bit of diy,& your not worried about the lnb maybe yours has a screw init.then just use some small screws to hold back together.

cheers sid worth a go. Not bothered about breaking it as it will just sit in the drawer in the shed forever
