The 128 mb Sandisc compact flash card came today

I'll let you know how i get on with it in the Dreambox within the next few days

You can also use Flashwizard to format and load your CF card as well as USB and HDD

Box won't boot when its in the slot so that can be added to the new list off ones that don't work

Just got to try my Traxdata 256mb stick now.

The Kingston Datastore 512mb stick that i had can be added onto the sticks that dont work. Formatted it and loaded Gemini on to it and the box refused to boot off the image on it. Left it for about a minute and nothing happened past the boot menu

With the 7000's you can't have the CF and HDD installed at the same time, but I thought that restriction had been overcome in the 7020. Maybe it hasn't?

I didn't boot on its own Stick

Neither the Sandisc compact flash or the Kingston 512mb would work with the 7020.

I have a Traxdata one to try next. I also have a Kingston 256mb which is on the list so i should be fine with that

You must be doing something wrong :? It's very rare for a USB stick or CF card not to work.

Have you got Flashwizard installed properly?!?

Everything is installed correctly. I can get the image to run fine off the HDD just not the USB Stick.

I'm just unlucky i guess

There are checkboxes in FWP to enable and disable either CF, USB or HDD. Check to make sure they're all turned on.

What image have you got in flash? It can have a major effect on which images boot off other media. It has to be basically the same underlying version of Linux components and Enigma.

What happens (on the 7000 at least), is that the Dreambox starts to boot off the flash image, is interrupted by FWP mid-boot, and then finishes the boot from wherever you point it, so you can see why the two halves have to tie-up to a certain extent.

OK work this one out

Kingston 512mb works now. The only difference is that i have put it on an extension lead rather than having it plugged directly into the box

This box is wierd

Running DS team image for 7000 and it seems to work quite well.
