Default MythTV 0.20 released.

Hi all,

MythTV 0.20 was released yesterday.

This release has lots of extra goodies. Like compatability with DVB-T radio now.

The MythTV site got slashdotted earlier, so please give it a day before looking..

http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php...e_Notes_-_0.20

I'll be upgrading my box in two weeks. Once the ebuild hits Gentoo (my distro), and the initial hitches have been ironed out!

For those who do not know, MythTV is a pretty cool PVR application for Linux. I use it with two DVB-T cards for TV Freeview reception, plus a SS2 card for Hotbird and Astra 19.

Cheers
Ferg

Good luck......!!!!!!!

The release has not yet hit Gentoo (the distribution that I use). There's an experimental package, but seeing as if I kill the TV I will be hung drawn and quartered, I may give it a few extra days.... :-)

Cheers

Got it running after a great deal of faffing about but once again can't scan for channels as the signal isn't strong enough even though Kaffeine has a perfect picture and sound on Astra and Hotbird. On myth the signal won't lock so I am gonna go for the Channel.conf route

Used Channels.conf but had to make it myself using scan ---------->channels.conf but only with Astra. Think I will give up on Linux TV stuff and just use XP for tv and linux for everything else its such a pain in the arse

That's a shame it does not work for you at all. Since Kaffeine does seems to work, I am at a loss as to what the problem is...!

If you are ever around in Cambridge, come around and see that it does work... Honest....!

Cheers

Got it sorted a lot better on Sunday night when everyone was asleep and I had a bit of peace. I think I only need to make some minor adjustments to the software and it will be sorted out. Will keep you posted. Also I am not sure whether my PC has enough power to actually run something like that its only a p4 1.7gig with 512 ram
