Your pics are fine
![]() Your follow up also clarifies to me what I thought originally about how you were intending to mount the dish. The tiny area of the mounting face, combined with the weak brickwork at the top of the gable, a big heavy dish and motor and a high exposed (windy) location will almost certainly pull the top of the wall down! I've drawn the sort of thing I was talking about onto your latest pic. The mount you've posted a picture of is also not suitable for mounting motorised dishes as you have no way to adjust the vertical part of the pole for being plumb. T & K is by far the best way to go. http://tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/MX335.html STICK

There's me thinking it would be easy - lol !! That leaves me with some thinking to do then.............where do I put the dish !! Can't see no updated pics........ Sorry to sound dumb, but how does that bracket you have recommended work ? Can't work that one out ? It seems thinking about the initial installation is the hardest part about setting one of these systems up ![]() Cheers mate |

Sorry, forgot to add the picture!
Your last statement is so true. It's far easier to mess about on paper than up a ladder ![]() I won't say that the installation is half an hour's work. For a beginner it can take a few hours, but put your dish in the wrong place, and rush/bodge things and you will soon know the meaning of pain! :roflmao: As for the brackets, everything will be revealed here. The middle dish is 88cm. The wind loading on a dish of this size is not to be underestimated.

By the way - on that mount you recommended, I get what the top bit is for (holding the bar against the wall), but what is the mount at the bottom of the pic used for ? Would I need to order 2 of these for my propose set-up Thanks |

They come in pairs, 'T' (the 'T' shaped bit) and 'K' (the 'I' shaped bit)
![]() Don't ask me why they're called that! :? You'll need a 2" STEEL mast to fit between the two parts. A length of scaffold pole is ideal. The spacing of the brackets is what provides the strength against the forces of the wind acting on the dish face. Do not use an alloy mast whatever you do. It simply isn't strong enough. Read our guide that I posted a link to above. It has everything you need to know.

Right, getting there..lol Mounting requirements............... T&K mounting brackets 2" Steel pipe (length to be determined) 6 U Bolts (Will 2.5" U Bolts be large enough ?) (1 on each bracket to hold steel pipe, 2 to clamp motor to steel pole & 2 to clamp dish to motor) - let me know if this is not correct Ta |

The U bolts for the dish should come with the dish, the U bolts for the motor come with the motor, so you just need two 2 1/2 " U bolts. http://tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/MX342.html

I should just say that the T & K brackets come in different lengths. Measure how far out from the wall you need to reach to clear the edge of the roof, plus a bit for luck
