Use buttons on front of box (they should work normally) to change from remote control 1 to 4 (RCU4).
I think its something like CH+- to get STB settings, then ok button, select other settings, then RCU mode, Vol+- to get RCU4 then Ok. Remote should then work as normal. a whole lot easier!!
Good luck.

This is the last task in the Firmware Update Guide

http://comagsl55.tripod.com/guide.htm

MENU > STB SETTING > OTHER SETTING > RCU MODE > RCU4 > OK

Anyone here aware of a patch for Comag SL55 that opens Premiere. ( It went off a couple of months ago).
Or anyone any idea of what changed then - it wasn't the RSA

Have you tried the Comag forum?

The latest change which probably wiped out your viewing was the re-introduction of the MECM fix - which was originally applied ages ago (a year or more?) and then turned off again for some reason.

Some receivers have had the emu's re-written to cope with it, and some haven't.

Or so I'm told...
