a few people i work with, seem to think there art card got zapped by art. apparently some one month cards got sold in europe and art have terminated them, they were sold originally for the world cup,but up till recently were picking up the full bouquet. my friends have been told to send there ART card back to the dealer, plus a fee of £35.00, for in return a new 12 month card. the point i'm making,is .. don't you think its a bit of a cheek asking for money up-front on something the've sold doesn't work...... |

Yes, this was predicted by one of the reputable suppliers a while back, and appears to now be coming true.
I'm sure that some suppliers have been genuinely caught out, whilst others have known exactly what's going on all along. Telling the difference though could be tricky. Anyone who bought a duff card off eBay for example is going to be left high and dry. Whilst we don't want open slagging-off of suppliers on the forum, I would like to have posted anyone's experiences here, and what the supplier is prepared to do about it. STICK

Don't have one, but have heard lots of bad-news stories. If you bought it from a decent place, you'll probably be able to get a replacement, so don't panic yet. The supplier probably got stiffed too.
Who did you get it from? Keep us up to speed on your progress, and good luck. STICK

Phew, that's a result.
I think they just mass-nuked all the World-Cup only cards. The provider can automatically expire cards by sending a 'kill' command via the satellite signal itself. Even specifically to a single card.

Cool. I take it the extras were Al Jazeera Sport 1 & 2?
Most recognised satellite card dealers are OK. Their business depends on it. A few bad vibes on the forums and they're finished.
