ok this project is growing even before its of the ground
started with the idea of using the sky dish then got one of the lild 80cm dish but now a friend has donated another 2 dishes to the project one 60cm the other 80 so after my other half gets over the prospect of having dishs on mounted in different areas what are the "best" sats the start with ? Arden

Hi arden,
the most popular satellites, and the easiest to pick up, are Astra 1, 19.2E, Hotbird 13E, usually on 1 dish and either a monoblock LNB or 2 LNB's, and Hispasat 30W. If you have a look at Lyngsat you'll see that these satellites broadcast a lot of channels, and Premiership football. After getting more involved in this hobby no doubt you will end up with a motorized dish, or a dish farm, as you'll want to view everything available !!!!!!!! Best wishes Mickha |
