Well, everyone, after all that correspondence, Film4 came back in picture and sound last night (Tuesday) about midnight and Film4+1 was always working perfectly anyway - no idea why. Oh, and Stick, we all change the clocks anyway at the end of October, but good thinking!!

Don't know about Uncle Rupert but it's still working today (Wednesday).

Thanks for that expression of confidence!! This site has been of enormous help and I now know a lot more than when I started - but, of course, still have a lot to learn and if I can help somebody (sounds like a song) I'll be pleased to pass on my newly acquired but still limited knowledge.

What I can say is that my reception on three satellites was undiminished during a spell of torrential and horizontal rain here in Scotland - we had the lights on at midday - so my dishes must be pointing in the right direction - and all thanks to all of you - getting quite emotional!!

I'm still a relative novice too, but if we all waited until we were experts before helping the next person out, the world would be in a right old state!
