Default Film 4

Anyone else experiencing the same as me - Film 4+1 is OK with picture and sound but Film4 has only sound and black screen? I've tried re-scanning the frequency but it has not made any difference - everything else work fine.

Just checked. Both Filmfour and Filmfour+1 working fine here on my Skystar2 and Sky digibox.

Channel data attached FYI.

Thanks for that - still the same result on my Fortec box - Film4+1 PID numbers are 2332/2333/2309 - perfect picture and sound. Film 4 numbers, and I typed them in manually from Stick's information, 2312/2313/2308 - and still perfect sound but no picture. This has only happened recently and when I scan 10792V, 22000, three channels come up, Film4, Film4+1 and a third channel labelled "FF1 Test" (which seems to be a duplicate of Film 4 (without the +1) as it also has sound but no picture and the same numbers. Any ideas, fellas?

Must be a FortecStar thing i'm afraid. My Lifetime Classic FTA is doing the same thing, even when connected to my 90cm dish with fantastic 95%+ signal strength and quality.

Everything else works fine with it so i have no idea what could be causing the problem.

My technomate doesn't do it so it has to be a problem with the box, more than likely a glitch in the firmware i'm guessing. :?

If you want to watch film 4 i think its a case of getting the freeview box out or buying a new receiver. >

How odd.

All I can suggest in this case is to change all the clocks in your house by an hour? ops:

Sorry, couldn't resist.

hi guys just done my scan with comag SL55 the 1 thats not patched wont show film4.but the 1 that is patched will & with sound,so i would say some receivers can not handel this now.i saw this a good while back on my un-patch comag,i cant change my settings on the un-patched comag,as i would lose all the transponders iv re-wrighten into it.what i would try 2 do is see if there is a software upgrade for the boxes that are not showing film4.

My FortecStar lifetime classic FTA has the newest AL7Bar firmware on it which incidentaly doesn't open anything now. It also doesn't let you see Film4.

I may try and install the last firmware update from the FortecStar website to see if that does anything. :?

Thanks Sid. It's been a long while since I've seen stuff as 'standard' as FilmFour not work on some receivers. I wonder what it is that some boxes don't like? :?

Obviously something in the :quote: transport stream.

Curiouser and curiouser.
