R Music TV gets funding help to stay on Sky

R Music TV, on EPG 370 has obtained enough funding to stay on Sky.

The inspirational music channel's future was in doubt after it revealed last week that it was short of money to stay on Sky.

However, a spokesman at R Music TV has said that the channel does have a future on Sky: "We are set to stay on Sky and funding has come in to do this. As a Christian music channel everyday is a struggle but we are staying afloat and do not have any plans in the near future to come off. It is a shame that large funds go into projects that destroy our generation as they are being fed all sorts of negative images and content which surely cannot help anyone. R Music TV receives little support but we do believe what we are doing is very needed at this moment in time and hope it continues to grow and make an impact bringing an alternative."

The spokesman added that funding was important for the channel's future and any help would be much appreciated: "We are building partners and if anyone is interested in R Music TV or sees the need to to have a positive music channel promoting wholesome values then we welcome new contacts."
