Stick - Jim had sent me by email a file to be installed - the file name is downloads.url (1k). I dont know what to do with it.

Just follow these instructions for the time being.

Right, let's keep this simple.

Insert the USB stick into the Dreambox and start FlashWizard Pro V6.3 on your PC. Make sure that you have this version.

Now click the button on the bottom left, "Configuration and Utilities".

In the utilities pane in the middle of the screen, click "Format Usb", and then tell me what message you get on screen.

Sorry, I'm trying to do several things at the same time here.

You also need to fill in your Dreambox settings in this panel - name ip login and password before you press the format button.

Yes, I did that. Also I understand you are very busy too attending other here.
I formated it and the msg is: USB stick successfully formated and linked (disc)
Available free space 451372 kbytes

LOL, I'm helping you, writing/testing a shell script for the server backups here at satellitehelp and helping my daughter with her science homework! Life's never dull around here.

OK, top right hand of this screen, make sure the 'USB stick' box is ticked as being a bootable device.

Now click on the middle button on the left - "Install or remove a firmware in MULTIBOOT"

When the screen comes up (there may be a little delay while the software validates some stuff) tell me what it finds.

Just for your info. the DB is on standby mode.
The flashwizardPro 6.3. it says 440.8 mb free (smartsettings copy from active image ticked and Set new image as default choice on FWPro boot menu ticked)
Also on flash : DM7020 Flashimage (2.6.9)
That is what I saw on the screen.

OK, everythings looking good.

Take your Dreambox out of standby now.

Leave the settings etc. in FlashWizard Pro as they are, and click the yellow folder icon on the right.

Navigate to the same Gemini 3.10 image file that you loaded into flash.

This must be the actual image file, not a zipped or rar'd file. The lowest level file.

Select it and click 'open'.

Now tell me what you see happening.

(for your info. I have selected the same image as in my DB flash i.e. Gemini 3.10 nfi file)
connecting to dbox - ok
sending image - ok
Installing - ok
Image setup and init - ok
Image installed successfully
On multiboot - gemini 310 dm7020 2006.
