hi guys on 7w on a 1.8 meter channel master dish with c120 feedhorn i can get all the verts no problems.i can get some of the hor signels @ night but wether has to be good & after midnight the signel goes up a small bit.any rain or cloud & the hors are gone.in london you should get away with maybe a bit smaller dish than me.there your be a bit nearer the footprint.as for dish make remmber i have a channel master & its as good off set dish your by.i would not trust a cheeper dish if 7w is whats your after.now for receiver i use a tm-5500 DAPCI.this receiver has a very good tuner built init.i found this the best 1 for 7w as it pulls a bit more signel than my other receivers.hope this helps on seeing 7w.
all the best.

the reason why i have a French email is when i opened it i had no option but the French one
yes you are right STICK Nilesat is the target
i cant have the CM 1.8 because of the planning premission thing also i have a patio but not a big garden not to mention the neighbours WHO will say no babe no
in Morocco i have 2.50 dish and i get all the BBC and ITV channels from the Astra 2D
NOW i'm trying to get Nilesat but in vain

Planning permission will potentially kill any dish over 1m, so I think your chances are pretty slim

I wish there was something else to suggest, but I think you're out of luck with Nilesat.

If you just want to have a play and accept the fact that you will only get a little reception of a few channels on a good day, then the Gibertini 1.25m dish has been proven to drag some channels in. If the neighbours don't like it though, it's still coming down :'(

hi guys i knew of 1 guy he did this with more than 1 dish.he made loads of dishes set in a metal bucket with concret & pole out of the buckets.he had about ten dishes in the end.when he was told to move them he made them mesure where thay were.the smart bit is once its been mesured in its place there not alowed to re-mesure for so much time,& thay just gave up in the end after a few times of mesuring in different places lol.i think this is great way to beat a system .as for what you see london guy dish size is all.ps sorry on the french bit no offence m8.
all the best.

Yes, 1m max anywhere without planning permission.

Check the regulations out here: http://www.satellitehelp.co.uk/forum...opic,16.0.html

In all honestly i would just stick the dish on a floor mount and hope the neighbours dont grass you up. Its just a good thing that many people are quite ignorant when it comes to planning regulations. As long as it isn't obstucting their view etc. etc i shouldn't think they will bother.

If they do grass you up you can just take it down and if necessary sell it on ebay to get some of your money back. As far as i am aware the local council will just ask you to take it down and that will be the end of the matter. Sorry i can't be of anymore help.
