A bit of a strange one this.
I can currently get National Geographic (Turkey & Germany) off Eutelsat W2 @ 16 degrees east using my 90cm Televes Parabol dish and my Technomate 1500 CI+.The broadcast is scrambled using BISS but my receiver doesn't know what it is encrypted in, it just shows up as "unknown" Now heres the strange bit. If i go flick through what is broadcast on W2 when i get to National Geographic it opens up. I can then flick up and down the channels on W2 without any problems. To be honest there are only 4 channels i watch on W2 anyway. Nat Geo turkey & Germany and 2 music channels. ![]() If i flick to another satellite like hotbird when i go back to W2 the channel is encrypted again and my receiver wont open it. :? To open it up again i have to flick through all the channels again. Any idea what is causing this and is anyone else having the same problem. ![]() Nano

There was a similar oddity with the Taquilla channels on 19.2E. You could only get some of them to decrypt if you switched to them FROM the adjacent channel.
I never did hear a good explanation. You could punch in pids and keys and whatnot until you were blue in the face but that was the only way. Don't know if this is the same. I'm just re-scanning 16E myself to have a look.

No idea. I've only been using the receiver for 2 weeks. The biss keys for NG were entered into the reciver manually. :?
I dont know if this is a problem with the patch (Darkman 2.08p) thats why i thought i would ask. I know that the facility for entering biss keys wasn't on the receiver until i had it patched. ![]() I'm just going to keep playing and see what happens i think. To be honest i dont kow how long i'm going to continue to play with 16e, it may be time to move the dish to another bird in the near future. ![]()

Sorted out now. Problem was with the Key
ops:It opens up NG turkey straight away although to get NG Germany i still have to go to NG turkey and then back to NG Germany. Well bizarre. ![]() Have also now managed to open Fox on 13e aswell. ![]() ![]() Nano
