The Spanish Cannal + digital emits from the Amstra and Hispasat. If I bring the box and card from Spain, would that work with a satellite dish receiving Amstra or Hispasat in Uk? Thank you |

I was watching Digital plus this morning in the Midlands area of the UK on Astra 19.2 east until they changed the keys again.
![]() You can receive D+ broadcasts from both Astra 1 @19.2 east and Hispasat @ 30 west in the UK. As long as you keep paying the subscription it should continue to work. ![]() You will however need to align a dish upto whichever satellite you decide to use. You could probably get away with a 43cm Sky minidish for Astra (in England anyway) however i couldn't tell you what size you would need for hispasat as i can get it as theres a house in the way. I'm sure someone will let you know about this later.Hope this helps. ![]() Nick

Thanks for your info.
In fact, a friend of mine has been trying today and at about 4 he did not have any signal. How can we fix the problem? He only gets a back background with a red dot. Is there anything we can do? the satellite dish is towards Astra 19 and it was installed by a professional. Are the keys different codes? Thanks again. 8) |

If you have a genuine Canal Digital subscription you will not have to worry about keys.
The signal is there 24 hours a day, you only need a subscription or the keys to unscramble the transmission so you can see it on your TV. :? If your just getting a red dot you don't have a signal. The dish is probably misaligned or pointing towards the wrong satellite. If it is a small gray eliptical dish it was probably installed by Sky. It will be pointing to Astra 2 @ 28.2 East which is the wrong satellite. If that is the case you will need to adjust it. If your standing behind the dish you will need to turn the dish to the right to get Astra 1 @ 19.2 Its either a case of the dish being misaligned or your lnb is stuffed. (The bit on the end of the arn of the dish). If your very unlucky it will be your receiver. ![]() Nano

Hi, thanks for your info.
It is for sure pointing out to Astra 19 degrees east, which is what I insisted I wanted to have. They also knew I was a foreigner and wanted spanish channels. Now, is there alot of difference between 19 east and 19.2 east? I hope so, so that the problem might be there. Any ideas? Thanks again. |

Nah - 19E is the generic name for the Astra 1 cluster at 19.2E.

Can you not get any channels off Astra1 19.2E?
No Free To Air channels? Try Andalucia TV on 11686 V 22000 5/6.

Hello all,
I have fixed the problem, great. I get all the channels. The problem was that the deco was for a communal aereal in Spain and I should have changed the LNB from off to on. It was so simple but something that simple could have spoilt Real Madrid - Barca which will be playied on Sunday. It will be great to watch it !!! Thanks to all of you who gave me advice. ![]() |
