Default Manually adding a satellite on a TM1500 CI+

Can anybody help me here. ops:

I've set up my big dish today @10e to have a little look whats on offer.

To make this thread make sense when i set up my dish i use my Sat meter in conjunction with my FortecStar lifetime classic FTA receiver which has all the satellites programmed into it.

Using the Sat meter and the Signal / Strength meter on the receiver i can get it smack on first time. Thats why i haven't got rid of it as its usefull for setting up the dish.

Basically i've set up my dish @10e with my FortecStar so theres no problem there. When i've connected the dish back into the DISEqC switch and eagerly switched on my TM1500CI+ i've found that 10e is not on the Satellite list and neither is 23.5e and 42e which were the next intended targets.

I'm assuming that this is going to be an update off the TM website or can it be done manually.?

I would look in the manual but i think the page that covers it has been conveniently cut out and probably eaten by my 3 year old daughter. Whats left of the manual is now in storage on top of the kitchen units where she cant reach.

I've got a scan of the manual here, so I'll post the relevant page(s).

Alternatively, you can download the channel editor software from the Technomate site.

LOL, the manual says NO! :roflmao:

There doesn't appear to be a function to add a satellite, only delete one!

You can reload the default satellites and channels though, which includes all three of the satellites you want. This is not the same as the factory reset procedure, but it is under the factory reset menu.

Probably better to load the latest channel list though. Don't know how this will interact with any patches, but should be OK.

I've had to connect it up to my computer again. I decided to install the newest firmware on the site.

I have downloaded the latest firmware, installed it which put the box back to standard configuration but it has at least updated all the satellite and transponder list. I've then had to repatch the box and install all the softcam keys again.

I've powered up the box again and 10e, 23.5e, and 42e are now in the list.

I'm guessing all my manually installed BISS keys have gone walkabout but i can soon put all those back in again.

It was a bit overkill to sort it all out but its done and dusted now.

Pain in the butt, but I think that was probably the easiest and best way to do it.

Unless someone else out there knows how to do it via the menus?!?!?

hi nanochickin, for your channels in tm it might be worth getting rid of the radio 1s,if you dont use them.i find its better when scanning for new updates in tv list, this way the box wont get over loaded with channels.you might already know this, but if you dont its a help.things like pids change & tps move.
all the best.
