BBC Worldwide has announced several new sales on two of its newest kids’ properties: The Secret Show from Collingwood O’Hare and Charlie and Lola from Tiger Aspect.
The Secret Show has recently sold to broadcasters in France, Hong Kong, Finland, Russia and the Middle East, bringing the total of TV partners to 13. It will also start airing on Virgin transatlantic flights from December 1. Aimed at the 7 to 12 set, the animation follows special agents Victor Volt and Anita Knight, who work for U.Z.Z, protecting the world against the evil forces of T.H.E.M. Charlie and Lola, based on the books by Lauren Child, has been licensed to three further broadcasters: IRIB in Iran, TVB in Hong Kong and Playhouse Disney in Spain. The preschool animation has now been sold to 33 countries. Other recent sales include Snow Queen to Al Jazeera’s children’s channel and World of Peter Rabbit & Friends and Tale of Peter Rabbit & Beatrix Potter to Momo TV in Taiwan.
