Howdy,
Nice to be here guys.
All that rolling about in the heather in the buff comes after the whisky swilling, usually after 1 or 2 arguments!(with the wife) :spite:

Howdy barr6868,

Another jock here mate, not far from you as it happens, I'm in Cumnock, Ayrshire. I got shot of SŁy last November (about 15 years too late), got a motorised set-up and I haven't looked back since.

Only problem is that apart from the fitba (that's footie to all you Morris Dancers ) I seldom get a chance to actually watch any Tv for playing with my equipment. (ahem, Sat equipment that is).

You've made a wise choice, SŁy sux, and satellitehelp.co.uk rox.

Howdy fergiz.
I took a break from geekland this week and actually settled down to watch some telly.
I'm pretty happy with the set-up I've got at the moment and it was much better doing it myself than paying sly to set a crappy system up . (great help from the guys on this site)
I'm actually from the "Gow" but lived in Douglas for a few years (just along from you on the Ayr road)before moving over here.
Are you and the auchenleck boys still knockin' lumps oot of each other ower the junior fitba? :roflmao:

LOL, Aye Barr the're a still at it, thankfully I'm an interlouper to Cumnock I was born & bred (although some would say inbred :'( ) in New Cumnock so my loyalties are with Glenafton Athletic as far as the Junior fitba goes, but the mighty Ayrshire Killie are my first love. (don't tell the wife )

I married a burd from Muirkirk, so we decided to build our nest halfway between the two in Cumnock :?

Good to hear you're system is up and running, I took the easy option and got a company from Saltcoats in to fit mine (I can't do ladders) but I think I got quite a good deal, and I have had no problems with it up till now (where's the "touches wood" smiley?) and I have been able to pull in satellites from 53° East to 34.5° West albeit there's nowt much to be found on some of these.

p.s. You don't happen to know wee Jimmy Simpson from Coalburn by any chance do you?

Howdy ferg,
Aye there are some good junior teams in ayrshire
I'm a Rangers man myself like most folk in this area
I used to play amateur fitba for Cole Utd and hung aboot Coalburn Miners Social Club at the time
I know some of the Simpsons fae Coalburn but can't remember any of them called Jimmy. My big mate runs the bar in there noo so I'll ask him the next time I see him.
Might be time to back over for a wee day oot (haven't been there for a while)
I'll have tae get the ladders back oot at the weekend again as my quality bar on some of the sats has dropped off a bit(think it was that wind last week).
