Missing modify and delete tabs from the forum - Techwatch: Satellite TV forums, FTA, Cable, Hardware, & Tech forums

According to my profile,I'm a senior member,however,this senior member still cannot edit or delete my posts

ops:,as i have never had the modify/delete tabs.
Can someone please explain,why they are missing,and how i can enable them.

Isn't it in the box to the right of the subject title?

Those options are not tabs but are links within the window.

What you're seeing is what you should see as a senior member. Only moderators have any editing privileges.

You have three minutes grace period to modify your posts in case of typos etc, then the authority expires.

I only have the quote feature.
Modify / Remove / Split Topic are missing,hence i cannot edit my own posts.
I wasn't intending to edit other FM's posts,only my own.

Sure, I realise that - but that's the way it's set up.

We haven't had any problems here yet, but it's to stop disgruntled members going back and destroying their posts (which could be hundreds or even thousands) and generally trying to disrupt the board. It's very common on forums to have it setup this way, so it's nothing personal
