1.15pm today, grey skies (light, medium and dark grey) no sign of blue skies, medium grey along slant path to nilesat.
The following horizontal transponders giving clear pictures and sound,
10872H, 11009H, 11094H, 12539H, 12556H, 12580H, 12741H.
Had a glimmer of a few "H" transponders last year but nothing like todays reception.
Might be because I am now running a C-Tech1500 receiver as my trusty old TM5000DA has finally bitten the dust :'(.
I will try another scan this evening after I have finished putting barbed wire on my fence and have had my evening meal.

Apologies to all, this will teach me to check up before posting.
My previous post is a load of rubbish. I had carried out a power scan with this C-Tech receiver and it had obviously picked up horizontal transponders from adjacent satellites to 7*west.
Hangs head in shame ops:
Trouble is it and this posted are wasted, bringing me closer to the dreaded 200 mark >

Hello arden. I have just upgraded to a 90 cm dish. But I can not get a sniff either. But I think that we are well outside the 7w footprint.

You will probably find that you may get some of the Verticals with a 90cm during the summer months

I managed to get some of the 7W verticals on my 90cm in the midlands last summer

i wouldn't try 7west on anything less than 1.8m as your not going to see much on lower dish sizes

i don't see what the obession is with this satellite

Most see it as it's there I want it, others have the miss guided idea of getting it for showtime.

Me I put up with the Vertical transponders

Tis the only reason I actually do this.
Never get to really watch any TV at all.
