You should be able to, yes.

Normally you can't mix switches and motors etc, but because the motor is closest to the receiver, and you don't actually need to command the switch in the monobloc, it should work OK.

I'd love to know for sure though, so if you try it please let us know.

The DiSEqC switch in the monoblock should consistently default to one half, i.e. one LNB. It should be LNB1, but you'll either to check the monobloc manual or experiment with your setup.

If you want to know which half of the monobloc is active, you can drape a thick wet cloth, a towel or similar, over one half and see if it flattens the received signal strength at the receiver.

Just an update as i promised on this subject. I can confirm i am using my monoblock with my new motorised set up, i identified which was my centre lnb & in my case it was No.2. Used the system you suggested. At the moment i have picked up 6 satellites from 1deg west to Astra 19.2 but failing on the others. My dish/motor needs further adjustment but ran out of daylight yesterday. I also used the instructions for installing a motorised system in the FAQ, which i found to be a great help.

Cool. Little by little you can tweak and adjust your setup until you get the full set

Well done. It's a good feeling when it starts coming together eh?
