Hi
Not sure if this is the correct place to ask but if not maybe someone could point me to correct groups. Wonder if anyone can comment on the following. Some yrs back I purchased and had installed a(£1350) sat system. I only used it for approx 2 yrs before the council forced me to take the 1 mtr dish down ( :spite ,tried in the garden @ground level but no goodbecause of trees. So I removed the whole system and stored in poly bags in loft . So question is the system listed below worth me trying to sell (ebay maybe) I have not been able to test the complete system without fixing all up again (to old now) but have plugged in boxes and left on for 4+hrs the three units and seem ok.The following Nokia mk2... sat box (sky analogue) Nokia mk2... Dmac decoder Nokia mk2...Dish positioner Horizon to Horizon dish position motor. All wall mounting brackets All cables and fitting All manuals etc. Know I should have got round to this yrs back. The sky box has slot for sky card of the time, the Dmac box has 2 slots, used to get card programed for other satellites still have cards and the dish positioner has 199 channels. Good chance we will be moving next year so clearing things out and seems a shame to throw out ![]() So would really appreciate advice please . Many thanks Barry |

Hi SunStar
Firstly there are no longer any transmissions broadcast in D2Mac or DMac so basically the box is only any good for a door stop now. ![]() As with the analogue Nokia Mk2 receiver, that would probably sell on ebay as there are still broadcasts in analogue although they are are gradually disappearing. How much you would get for it all depends on who's wanting one, although i should imagine it will fetch at least ten pounds. ![]() The dish, the Horizon to Horizon dish position motor, mounting brackets and fittings should also sell fairly well. ![]() Nano

Analogue boxes are virtually worthless nowadays. If you get a tenner for it you will be doing exceptionally well.
As nanao says the D2Mac stuff is scrap - the last transmissions ceased over the summer. If you want to dabble in the hobby again, planning regulations have been eased now so you can have a 1m dish in England & Wales.

![]() Many thanks for your quick replies and information. Seems I should have gone up in the loft some time back ![]() Paying though the nose now days to Sky just for my love of football :? Is the dish positioner worth trying to sell with the dish ,H to H motor etc, in other word could the Nokia 1700 m2 positioner be married up with other more modern reciever boxes to make a working dish goto system please ?. Once again thanks for your helps. Barry |

Put the whole lot up,Barry
You'll be surprised, what people will buy. ![]() If you are not in a rush, wait till there's reduced or free listings offer,to keep your selling fees down. There will be someone who'll probably want the obsolete DMAC,as a collecter's item. I saw a Pace prd900 go for £45,excluding delivery,a couple of months ago. ![]() |
