Default Re: Flickering

On some sky channels their appears to be a flickering across the picture, yet when watching analogue television this problem doesn't exist. I was wondering what could be causing this, on another, smalley tele their appears to be no flickering.
My setup is:
a SCART going from sky to my TV
a DVD/ Video Player Scart going to the sky box.
My analoue arial goes into my sky
the rf out 1 in the sky box goes to the videos ariel socket and rf out 2 goes to my other televisions.
the videos out socket goes to my televisions standard ariel port.

The tele is a

SHARP 28" FLATSCREEN TV 28LF-92H Virtual Dolby SOUND

I was wondering what could be causing this problem.

Does the tv have 100Hz processing on it? If so try turning it off. Try another scart cable as well -- theres a faint possibility of signal bleedthough causing problems if the scart is badly shielded.

I suppose you've already had a play with the digibox video settings?

If not, press the 'Services' button on the remote, then 4 - System Setup and 1 - Picture Settings.

Have a play here, especially Video Output - RGB, PAL etc.

You might also try changing the RF output channel if you think there might be a conflict, but it doesn't sound like this is the problem based on your description.

To do that, press Services, 4, 0, 1, select with no pauses. Take care not to mess anything up in here though, it's the installer setup menu.

You might also want to try another SCART socket on your TV if it has one, and/or route your DVD player directly to the TV.

Just guessing really, but a few things to try there.
