We already have snow here, and the wind is howling round the trees
The 19E dish (the one on the tyre) has shifted slightly so Ive lost Bahn TV, but the stronger tp's are still ok.

my dish hasn't moved at all as i left it on 5e so it was side on to the wind and the 5e signal is still strong with the gale blowing, luckly the andrews dish and 1224 motor aren't in use at the moment as i wouldn't want them to get wrecked

Wind has moderated here in Paisley (7.20 p.m. on Thursday) and the barometric pressure has dropped to 966. It's now raining heavily and coming down vertically. By 7.40, the wind is getting up again and still pi**ing down.
A third bash with the brush handle and I've got Bahn back at 72% and BBC Prime on 13E at 70% and I'm leaving it for tonight!! Batten down the hatches folks!!

Getting it rough here in belfast , old lidls dish is holding up well so far. If it came down it would stay there til weather improves. Absolutly nut freezing here

Its not as bad as scotland down here. But the wind has been flapping my dish around a bit.It is definitely skew wiff .Quality on 1w is 50% it is normally about 75%.Its up the ladder time when the wind drops.

Don't know what it's doing in the rest of Britain but it's been blowing strongly for two days here in sodden Paisley - apart from a little pixellation when the gusts are high, I'm still pointing to the right birds.

I've started to regret not getting a motor when I bought my bigger dish.
Theres 4 LNB's on a long arm and an 85cm transparent dish and the visual movement on the LNB's in a strong wind like this is quite scary. On a quiet day I drilled holes in the dish rim either side and fixed guy ropes made of picture wire to the wall. Today in this wind theres hardly any picture break up. Could I also spray RainX to the dish surface to aid the quick removal of the rain? |

wd40 works well on the dish for making the rain run off it aswell, never heard of this rainx stuff you mention
if you think movement is bad on a multi lnb dish in windy weather a dish on a cheap diseqc motor wont help either, i've had enough of it.
