hi fergiz, hope all will be ok with your dish.we had some more hard wind in blackpool tonight.twice its been bad enough today.if you think these are bad now wait till around the 13th,thay will be horrendous if thay hit the 100 or just over mph.this was in the express news paper today on winds.thay say we will have 3 or 4 horrendous storms.from the 13th till about the 29th of this month.with winds that could maybe go over 100mph,me dish will have to come down.christ if it hit somone i would not forgive myself.more than not it would handel the winds, but i feel better safe than sorry.i will still have my wave t90 dish up for a bit of watching.

Yes, might be wise Sid. A flying 1.8m chunk of fibreglass could do someone a serious mischief

Hope your dog's not too schizo Ferg. Calm before the storm here ATM. Not a leaf moving.

My apologies Sid,

My last post was meant as a bit of a joke mate, I have escaped the wind here today in South West Scotland and I sincerely hope that you do not suffer any damage to your Sat gear or your property. the "wind" I was jokulerly (is that a word?) referring to was my big Dalmations (domimo is his name) farts.

P.s. this wine is good tonight.

LOL, that's a bit too cryptic for me too Ferg. I thought you meant that your dog was climbing the walls because of the storm :

Send me some of that wine in the post. It sounds like good stuff... :roflmao:

fergiz m8 thats ok lol,we have a dog to & he farts so no apologies needed .back to the winds from sky( I have escaped the wind here today)as far as i know atm its moving north so i hope your dish is ready for whats to come.by xmass i think there will be a lot of unhappy people in satellite & there dishes.there made to take so much wind once maybe twice.but when there hit 3 or 4 time by megger winds somthing will give.if your 1 of the few who have there dish in a covered place you might be lucky.a lot of people cut through a ally way to get to a shop here.as stick says if it came down it would do somone some real harm if it hit them.this is why i will take the 1 on me poler mount down.if i can get my m8 to help me,it will be on saterday.sunday thay say winds are back so this would be a no go for dish.then after that god knows how bad there get if the express paper is right.

hmm looks my dish will be going in the shed then as its still on the floor propped up with logs. Don't fancy it flying through the patio windows lol. Just glad I am not still a window cleaner as it would have cost me a fortune in lost work
