Default I'm going cold turkey already.

Well i don't know about you but I'm starting to go cold turkey with nothing open on my TM1500 at the moment. This is the first time i have never had anything to watch, even going back to the good old D2MAC days

I am seriously considering either buying a genuine operators card like Canal+ France or a TPS card. I'm sorry but Sky just isn't doing it for me anymore, I've flicked through all the channels tonight and theres nob all on worth watching for a change >

(my mother in law has a property out in France so TPS & C+France wont be a problem just in case you were wondering )

The other alternative for me is to go for a VPS card like the K3. OK i am still worried that i will splash out the £40 or so only to find its magically turned into an ice scraper just in time for christmas but i am seriously considering buying one, unless anybody can think of any other alternative.

I am also guessing that i would have to splash out on a CAS3 programmer as well. Would my assumptions be right on this one. :?

I've come to the conclusion that in order to continually sample television that isn't force fed by uncle Rupert i am going to have to splash out some more money.

Anybody elses thoughts on this would be welcomed.

hi Nano, for a good while now satellite is for making money, these are the guys who give out on K3 cards cams even tms, there only as good as there support for cracks.somtimes on cracks for k3 cams can work out as much as paying sly when there is bad support.these guys now are so greedy its unreal,if we stoped bying receivers dishes from them i bet cracks would come back farst lol.this wont happen mind.there is a lot of times im not liked at many boards as i say what i think.if your willing to look at many sats finding fta you can still get some good viewing.there are good fta guys here & we can always find somthing 2 watch.28 east on its own has good viewing,if your receiver not scaned here for awhile, wipe out old channels & give a re-scan.this will add the new pids & update.

nano, forget the cards. By the time you have bought all the cards/cams you could have bought a programmable receiver like the dreambox.

Keys are available just as quickly as you will get them for any card and you can always look at a card from a friend in France if they have a similar box.

Thanks for the advice Jim. I am a little confused here. I'm sure that i read somewhere that the Dreambox was not opening anymore stuff than my TM1500. What are you getting with yours atm. :?

If you card-share, you can watch any channel in theory. That's what Jim's talking about. If you can get a TPS card to share, you should have no problem finding a group to hook-up with.

There are always a few things open:
The Diablo Cam has Premiere, C+ France, Cyfra +, C+NL.
The T-Rex super has Premiere, and hopefully the Dragon Team are working on others.
The K3 card is opening C+ France and TPS, excluding Multivisions and a few others, C+ NL, and Cyfra +, although you can only load one at a time, and I have stuck with C+ France + TPS, and there are files already released for December, but I'll confirm if they work next week !!!
TPS has been trying new things to stop us viewing for a while now, but hopefully we'll get it back soon.
There are always highs and lows in this hobby but we usually have a good choice for Christmas.

Reports are that the TPS changes are a stepping stone to merging encryption types with Canal+ (makes perfect sense).

That means ultimately taking down the AES crap and moving to SECA2, which explains why the K3 card has files already. It also means that TPS should be available on the Diablo soon too.

If that's the case I may well buy one. I don't have many options if I want to watch the footie now.

Looks like I'm going to miss the biggest game of the year tomorrow :'(

Don't give up yet BGonaSTICK, according to LJ's there are a number of FTA stations broadcasting the game, and there might also be a feed, I'm hoping to watch it on Premiere, if they don't change the keys on us.
