Default Technomate 7755 patch issue

Hi, today I used the allcam patch (latest) on my TM7755, following carefully the instructions I gleaned from forums and it all appeared to go well. The top slot changed to Conax and other FTA channels appeared to be OK. I then switched off the power to the TM and later in the day I switched the TM back on. However it would not boot up. Nothing on the screen and the remote will not change the channels. It will not bring up anything, so I cannot get to the menu to reset the receiver.
The TM 7755 channel selection is at 0000 and the Card In light is on although there is no card in. Is this serious or is there some process to get the TM reset back to normal considering that I cannot get to the menu as it will not respond to the remote or the buttons on front of the TM?

Hope that someone can help me on this. Thanks

Do you have the manual?

It is usual on receivers to be able to do a factory reset by holding one of the buttons when plugging the receiver into the mains.

One of the Technomate gurus will probably be along soon to give definite guidance.

OK, firstly, is this the first time you've patched your box?

Are you sure you used the correct patch? Applying the wrong file can cause some nasty problems. Did you use the loader application supplied with the patch or the standard Technomate one?

Try leaving it unplugged from the mains overnight before powering it up again. If you can still get no joy, do you have a card you can try in the slot?

If not, then I can only suggest trying to re-flash the patch again, or maybe the original Technomate firmware.

I don't know the 7-series boxes very well, but I think the only way to perform a factory reset is to do it from the menu. This won't help you if you've applied the wrong firmware. It doesn't re-default the firmware itself, only the configuration data AFAIK.

Let us know how you get on.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the advice. I re-patched the TM and all appeared to go OK. I can now use the remote and pick up channels. I hope that it stays working. Thanks again.

Phew, I thought you were going to give us some bad news.

Did you re-apply the unofficial patch again, or the original firmware?

Have you rebooted it again since?
