Hi!
I'm about to invest in Sat TV (first timer) and I'm wondering if anyone here has any feedback/experience with TechniSat receivers in general and the TechniSat Digit MF4-S CC specifically. I've been looking through the german speaking sat forums and i haven't read anything negative so far. TechniSat seems to be referred on to others quite often which i suppose is not a bad thing. Just curious what the opinion is here. Anyway thanks in advance for any help. ![]() |

Only had experience of the PCI and USB receivers, but they have been very reliable and are well specified. The support from Technisat has also been good over the years, with regular software updates and drivers etc.
Just had a quick look on the 'net, but very little info in English. I know you're probably not interested, but they're officially imported into the UK by Sat Europa amongst others, though don't sell well. I think the terrestrial stuff they produce is more high profile in the UK. Both the Clarke-Tech's and some of the Technisats are patchable I believe. Is that something you're interested in? I think that the C-T's are a clone of another well-known make or vice versa.

^^^patchable...Hmmm
some guy i spoke to at a random sat shop in town mentioned something,"wink, wink" about that and offered to do some... We're going digital here next year and there's a bit of a scramble going on. sat people, cable people, Tv people are all enjoying the economic effects. and fair enough. I'm leaning more to the Clarke-Tech 2100 at the moment. the blindscan and the multicard reader. ![]() |

new technisat HD vision tvs were testedwith normal SDTV reception when compared to a panasonic 100hz crt tv,all of our testers agreed independently that the pic of the LCD tv was more stable & thus much easier on the eyes.guys for your SDTV i think this tv will beat others what was asked.stick i did chat with simon & Sat Europa on these tvs.there are planels in this tv for many things like free view satellite cabel all in LCD.she will do a lot,but the 1 thing missing was a panal for HD tuner so you would have to by a receiver to view HD tv.this is a hell of a lot of LCD whats init.she will work like a dream with pc say ss2 card VAG signel.technisat are high up on the list of who i think are good & i guess you get what you pay for.im not a newbie lol but on this i still find it hard to make my mind up wether to get or not hmmmmmm.i could get a 50 inch LCD for the same money, but i know it would not be as good as the technisat.thay have 2 years onit if out goes wrong & on top there is another 3 years for free parts.i think that good today, thay must fancey there product 2 keep going.most LCDS will only give a year errrrr.iv put this here as i thought some might find this intesting.

Sid, you're rambling m8 :roflmao: (only joking :spite
![]() As far as blindscan goes, it's a really nice feature to have, especially if you think you might want to get a bit more adventurous than the casual TV-viewer. Likewise the patching. If you think you might want to go down this route in the future, then make sure you don't buy one that's not 'supported'! We'd love to hear what you eventually go for and your thoughts on what it's like. STICK
