Default Languages

My son is currently studying french and spanish at degree level, it would be helpful for him to be able to watch tv in both languages could anybody suggest a system that I could have installed for him

Hi Sandrat641,
Astra 1, 19.2E, have a number of French, and a couple of Spanish, FTA stations, you also have channels like Euronews that run several languages and you can choose French or Spanish language.
If you get a fixed dish with a monoblock you can also get 13E, and lots more French channels, setting it up is quite simple and for minimum outlay, a digital receiver, dish and Monoblock LNB, you will get a wide variety of channels.
Take a look at www.lyngsat.com and have a look at the FTA channels that broadcast in the languages you want on both 13E, and 19.2E.
