Default Blind scan on Technomate receivers.

Well this has been thrown in here off another thread rather than going off subject.

Anyway on the other thread the subject of blind scanning came up. 8)

The last time that i did a blind scan of 16e it took nearly 9 hrs for my TM1500 CI+ to finish. Has anyone else had this sort of problem with their TM1500 CI+.

This is purely out of interest as their isn't a fat lot i can do about now, short of buying a nice new and shiney new Dreambox when i have the pennies saved up.

At the time my 1500CI+ had the Darkman 2.09 patch on it which may have been the cause.

It would be interesting to see how the other TM boxes are compared to the TM1500 CI+

The old ones had a slight bug on the blind scan apparently. Don't think there's any fixing it.

Try turning off some options before you hit the big SCAN button. How long does it take to do just Verts, or Horiz for example? Limit the SR range, or the TP's.

Scanning in chunks like this might be a bit fiddly, but 9 hours just ain't funny

It might just be that it's not using the memory in the receiver very efficiently.

This might be worth a try.

hi stick i chatted with somone on old tms 1000 & 1500 ci.thay would not give out the firmware as thay would not have sold the super 1s.this was the concluesion we came 2.as said 9 hours on older 1s is no fun.you just wait till the new 1 comes onto dr dish, you wont beleave your eyes.i must admit i was quite shocked at what i saw but plaesed what thay have made.sooner out on vintage the better.
