Default Odd Problem

Eh up all. Been having a play getting ready for the arrival of my new tm1000. Set the dish up to my Skystar 2 and on Hotbird I get no signal when scanning using Altdvb but when I click on BBC World I get an excellent picture 100% quality. Its a monoblock LNB could it possibly be that I am on the wrong satellite? I want hotbird off the lnb on the arm and astra 19 on the other one. The Disecq is set up right but when I scan both I get no signal. My signal meter is going off the scale so I have a really strong signal from something

The problem is that BBC World is on virtually all the satellites.

On 13 E it is 11334 H

Try Almustakillah 12654 H which is on 13E and unlikely to be elsewhere

Hmm got a bit further now can get either hotbird or astra but not together lol. Think it just needs a bit of tweaking and the force 9 gale outside doesn't help either.

Had a bit more of a play using FastSatfinder and found this out.  I am not picking up half of the transponders.  In fastsatfinder there is an Export feature which has produced this .jpg.  Anyone have an idea what the problem could be?

Can you lock any of the missing transponders with another viewer application?

Some of them are definitely putting stuff out.

Clamp the A-side of the monobloc, and align it onto 13E. Make sute the disecq switching is set up correctly with 13E on port A.

19E should now be on the B-side. Raise the 19E side of the monobloc slightly. Set the disecq switching up for 19E for side B.

Tighten all the clamp bolts up!

Away you go. (Hopefully)

That looks a useful little tool Jonty. Is it free/shareware?

If so, maybe you could post it in the PCI cards section?

Unfortunately m8 its not shareware or freeware and you only get a 7 day trial. It is a nice little tool though. (ooer mrs)
