Just got 153 channels on 16E with my dish on the floor and a wobbly lnb. Don't know if that is good or bad and with an 80cm mesh dish here in Cheshire

Guys,
I've been looking around for a dish, have found a good deal i think for a 'Lemon 1m dish + 0.2lnb' for £50, do you know if these (Lemon) dishes are any good or if you know any better deals? cheers Stuck41 |

They're OK apparently, but nothing special. I think they might be a clone/re-badge of something else (ISS?)
If you're really wanting to pull in the weaker satellites like 16E, then you should maybe look at a top quality dish to give reliable reception. A Gibertini 104cm (or larger if you think you can get away with it) would be a good choice. They can be had for not much more than the one you mention, but are far superior. They come up on eBay quite regularly. 0.2dB LNBs are quite cheap, so don't let that sway you too much.

Sure. You just buy a wall mount - which is usually a pole that extends from one or more flat plates bolted to the wall, and then bends vertically to provide an attachment point for the dish. There are variations, but you really should choose a big beefy one for a 1m+ dish. Serious wall fixings too, not just a couple of cheap coach bolts.
The mount is often overlooked, as it doesn't lend anything to the satellite reception. In fact it's the only thing that really matters in terms of safety. Don't cut corners! If you can't find a good one, or are not sure which are good and which are bad, let us know and we'll search out a good example. You can always use galvanised T&K brackets. Cheap and very strong. STICK
