Vertical is fine for 16E on a 1m dish for initially setting up. (its what I use on my 1m dish on 16E...)

If you want to be accurate (though as Analoguesat says, there is often a large margin of error) a skew of 10 degrees clockwise when viewed from the front of the dish is about right for your location.
Check the SMW link software in our utilities section for a neat little calculator.
