Default Help !!! Parts needed

After the little incident of my dish pretending to be a UFO in last weeks gales, i thought apart from the one lnb breaking that I had got away Scot free. :?

Wrong !!!! :'(

Just discovered this evening that the lnb clamp on the end of the arm has taken a rather large ****er causing the top part of the bracket to split > (see picture below). Its a standard 40mm lnb clamp. Anybody got any Idea where i can get a new one from. :?

If it's as simple-looking as your diagram, why don't you check out the plumbing section of B&Q or whatever. You must be able to modify a plastic pipe fitting fairly easily.

It doesn't have to look pretty.

I had the same problem when I overtighted mine, split in the same place.
I tried loads of places and couldnt find one so in the end, out of desperation I superglued it back together.
As I found out you dont have to tighten that clamp to much and it is holding up a treat.

I think i will end up doing the same thing to be honest, although i will probably use epoxy resin rather than superglue.

Just wondering why they call it superglue :? Its great for sticking your fingers together, but i always find it never seems to work for me when i have to stick 2 bits of plastic together. >

Put a couple of zip ties round it (or duck tape) It will never come off!
