Default Alien ALS System

So what does everyone think of this system? It is currently STARTS at $4399.00

I find that an obscene price for a desktop machine, as I am a major cheapskate and build my own PCs. For that much money, well I could not even realistically spend that much money on building my own PC, I am afraid. I guess I could, but it would take some obscene extra components, including monitor and the works.

It has an AMD Athlon 64 FX-60+ which is very nice. It only comes with 1 gigabyte of ram, which I think sucks. In this day and age a $4000 PC better have at least 4 gigs of ram. 2 would be barely passable. I know you might not need it, but it is the principle.

It is using dual SLI cards for video which is very nice, and that is extremely expensive right now. Also has liquid cooling, but I am not seeing how they get to that price-point. I think I could build a system comparable to that for probably half the price. What do I know though.

So what value am I missing here?
