I believe Stick posted a list of transponders that might reasonably be expected to be received. I have done a search but cant find it.
Any chance of a pointer? I am now a dab hand at finding most sats now, it goes something like:- 13E, point at the shed door, 28.2E point at third fence post, etc., I am going to make an arc out of marine ply about 1.5 mtres radius and mark everything on it. Then all I will have to do is drop it over, say, a couple of fixed pegs and swing the dish. Its on a pole by the way about .5 mtr from the ground. Has anyone made an inclination indicator? I thought about a plumb line and needle pointer? Geoff |

BlackHawk posted a very recent list on one of your other threads. That'll probably be better than some of the slightly older ones knocking about on the forum.
Some guys who are always fiddling, attach a cheap inclinometer to their mount. You can get them for around a tenner. If you want to make one yourself, try a large plastic protractor and a plumb line. The scales printed on many dish/motor mounts are not very accurate. Maybe an inclinometer would be a good investment for you. Brymar have one. The digital ones are fantastic, but start at around £60 ![]()

Halli have a look at my digital web site:
www.digitalsat.co.uk (remove the spaces - one of the forum filters breaks the url) The site lists the satellites that can be easily received using hobby equipment (mainly with my collection of battered 80 cm dishes) Virtually anything on there should be fair game to the UK and much of Europe

I'm trialling a change to the filtering/censoring setup on the forum ATM, so hopefully digitalsat works, but alsat doesn't
