Has anyone used pelican cases before? I just bought my first one, the 1200 model. It has the removable foam insert to securly store stuff and keep it from moving around. I use it for my camera case and I carry my Kodak Digital camera, my olympus OM1 35mmSLR with a 55mm lens, a surefire flashlight, my 145mm telephoto lens and 3 rolls of film in it with room to spare for more stuff should I decide to get anything else. I'd reccoment the quality of these cases to anyone. We had one at work that we keep guns in and it got trapped in a freight elevator and jammed the entire lift up. When we finally got it free the case had one small scratch and the elevator was bent to the point where it had to be disassembled and many new structural pieces welded in. Thats a true testament to these cases.

We have Pelican cases at work that house all sorts of electronic gear... it doesn't always get treated too well, but the cases always protect the items.
Pelican even makes some bitchin cigar cases! |
