Hi Jimdefruit,
the dreambox looks the business, can you recommend one with a hdd.
and one thats easy to setup because I haven't a clue I'm not to bad on the
computer but I'm no wiz kid. all the best for new year

Wwell, I think the one to go for is the 7020s at this stage. Stick posted a link to a German retailer and that seems to give the best prices. Also there were problems with the early models so steer clear of those, which are on the maket second hand.

If you have a HD display screen, it might be worth hanging on a bit until the 8000s is released. Much dearer at about £600 ish and the release date has not been confirmed.

If you want to keep the cost down as much as possible then it might be possible to get a seconhand 7000s. If it does not already have a hard drive fitted, it is easy to fit one.

I strongly suggest that you keep away from the 500s because there are several limitations such as no usb port and only 1 card slot and recording has to done via lan to a pc hard drive and not a standalone hard drive.
