Hi juandan,
welcome to the forum, you should be able to record all the FTA and FTV channels, if you still have your old card, by connecting a scart lead from your digibox to your DVD, or video, recorder, and choosing AV on the DVD/Video recorder, sometimes this is also known as input, and might appear on the display as L1, L2, AV, or similar. If you had the Sky + digibox then I don't think you can use that to record programmes once your subscription lapses, I'm sure someone with a Sky + box can provide more information. Best wishes Mickha |

This has got to be the best pre-Christmas deal I've seen. Mad price, but they don't have much stock.

I had a look on the site you recommended, some great deals for liteon recorders, but I've had some bad reports on them, I think what I really want is a pvr satellite reciever with twin tuners so I can watch one program and record another I've had a look and can't find a dvd recorder with twin tuners. would a pvr freeview reciever work with the cable from the satellite dish. as you can tell I'm a novice.

lo juandan. If you mean Freeview that doesn't work from a satellite dish it receives the signal from the terrestrial aeriel on the roof so I don't think that would work.

Hi juandan, I have a Toshiba dvd/hdd recorder and it has 'satmon' which allows you to record a programme from its inbuilt analogue tuner whilst recording from another input. It also allows recording of any input whilst watching a programme from its built in tuner.
Unfortunately not a digital tuner but then I have a separate digibox and a dreambox so I have all the options. ![]()

Hi Juandan, a belated merry Chistmas. Do you rally want a twin tuner pvr receiver? The reason I ask is because I am a stong believer in flexibility. If you already have a digibox then you have one tuner and a separate receiver will give you what you want and will also give you flexibility.
If you get a receiver with a built in hard drive or ability to connect to a PC with a hard drive then you will have what I think you want. If you have any experience with computers then I would recommend a receiver like the Dreambox. A huge amount of flexibility to set up as you want and the ability to network with other similar receivers.
