nice and tidy install you did, should get a good arc as you used 18" t&ks but the look of the picture ?

my system is getting beefed up in next couple of months with new motor and dish 36volt, cause its too windy around here

I'm actually on 24" T & Ks to allow a full swing both ways I dont usually leave wiring that loose but i thought its better that then it getting stuck and pulling the wiring out.

I also ran out of c@ble ties hence the insulation tape an the arm ops:

A leave a few more pics and i'll leave it at that

How far east and West can you go with that?

Nice setup btw. Are you still keeping all your stationary dishes?

If i kept the 2 80cm dishes i would probably wake up with my kna**ers in a jar next to me, so that answers that question, I'll probably ebay them sometime next week I'm keeping the minidish just incase

Theoretically i can go to the motor limits 70°e -70°w but ATM i have only gone as far east as Turksat @ 42°e and as far west as Hispasat @ 30°W My rear of my house faces approx 3°e so I'm quite lucky in that aspect. With the dish being as high up it also clears the house in front of me and the tree to the side. For the first time i have a totally clear view of the sky from about 70°e to about 80°w

The biggest suprise of today is that i am pulling in stuff of the Nordic beam on Thor 3, Some is unwatchable but most of it has a steady and stable signal. I'm chuffed with the result

The biggest regret is that i should have gone upto a 1m dish

Thinking of doing somethng similar. Got 80% signal on most transponders from 30 west to 28 east with an 80 cm dish (from fleabay), but when searching afar the agc signal on dm7000 accelerates to around 90% and snr drops to around 40%. :?
Buggered around with elevation, declination and true south positions, but can't move the signal by less than a few % either way, so bigger dish may be the answer (79% on bbc world, thor).

Spirit level shows wall mount being totaly vertical (had to put some wedges in the back cos my house wall isn't totally upright. bloody builders).

I'm going to overload the motor I think and get a 1.1m triax, and hope it stands the test.

Well i've had a play this evening and confirm that i can get 53°e to 45°w

Cant get a huge amount thats watchable on 5°e and 23.5°e but other than that i'm quite pleased with myself
