Default Viewsonic 32"

This device is only $1299.00 I am really looking at it more as a dual-purpose pc monitor and hd viewing device. Does anyone have any exprience with this? I am really interested in the Dell but I saw one of these at CompUsa the other day, and the price point caught me. Is it a valid comparison with the Dell or am I just dreaming? What are the drawbacks? I know 32" is a bit large for a desktop display, but it is actually going to potentially mount on the wall.

Well I had a 21" and a 19" on each side a few years ago... it worked great, and these were CRT's no less.. A 32" is the way to go. I have one Dell 19" Flat panel now, and I was going to buy the Dell 24", but the new Dell 30" caught my eye.. now you mention the Viewsonic, which makes some of the best monitors in my opinion.. I just don't know if I will be able to look at it.. it's SOOO big!

I looked at a 30" Apple monitor today just for grins.. it's huge.....

Wow... 32"... that's how big the TV is beside me... and I have my s-video cable plugged into it for TV out... If my monitor was already 32" I wouldn't need a TV at all... $1299... I think I'll start dipping into my college fund! lol... College fund, that's funny... never had one of those, might have gone to college/university if I did... Thinking about applying for a student loan now though, as a single parent you get some extra benefits... :-)
