Dreambox 8000 - latest availability info
The latest word is that the DM8000 will be another couple of months. The problem does seem to be with the firmware supporting Digital Rights Management.
That means the content protection system used the control data going out of the HDMI port, known as HDCP. HDCP stands for High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection, a copy protection scheme employed to eliminate the possibility of intercepting digital data midstream between the source to the display. The prices have also not yet been finalised - so watch this space.
