Default Skystar 2 2.6D

I'm thinking about buying a skystar 2 2.6D tv card so I can watch tv on my computer
I have broadband but is it fast enough? upstream/downstream rate (kbps) 288/2272
I haven't a glue what it means. I have a Dell dimension 2400

All a Skystar will do is connect to your satellite dish and let you way tv channels on the computer. Its NOT using streaming channels so your broadband connection isnt used.

You CANNOT watch Sky pay channels using one of these cards - just the free ones.

Yes, you need a dish. A standard Sky minidish would get you started.

It is possible to stream the resultant TV around your home network, and even out onto the Internet though.

That's when your broadband connection would be required.

Worth every penny is the skystar2. As has been stated though the only reason Broadband would come into the equation is if you wanted to stream what you watch back onto the internet. The Skystar 2 just uses your satellite dish.

No you need a quad lnb and a new cable run from the dish - if you want to use them together..
