Default Remote Extender for Techno 1000 D

Hi all,

Does anyone know whether this remote extender (really, really cheap; about £5 with shipping) will do for the techno 1000 D? From the description, I just can't tell. :? I've seen similar things advertised elsewhere, but they always refer explicitly to Sky, and this one doesn't. Maybe they don't know some people don't have (want) Sky?

Here's the link:

If this one won't work, any suggestions for something that will?

Thanks!

Rob

Wont work - it needs 9v output on an rf output. (Sky boxes!)

Darnit! >

So I suppose this one won't work, either, right (even though someone asked if it would work with a techno 1000 d and they said yes)? From what I get, I'd need to buy the extra bit (for 24.95) too!

Thoughts? :?

Want to be able to watch late-night sat and skip around without having to go downstairs!

Thanks,

Rob

Interesting. I would have said its a standard Sky remote extender. Not that you can try it anytime soon - the stock level is zero!

Actually, the Norwich store has six, and I need to go to the city centre in the next day or two. Maybe I'll ask in store (though I've gotten some pretty bad advice there in the past).

Thanks, analoguesat!

You could just buy one of those cheap AV transmitters. Even if you cant get a good picture on it, you will still be able to use it to relay the signals from the remote control

I've seen them go on eBay for about £10 in the past.

I know, there are lots of things out there, and lots on eBay, but shipping always kills them (I saw one offered for £5 with £18 shipping from the UK!), and satcure has a lot, but they're £40 or so, and for that I can watch and get another techno box (maybe a super this time), patch it, and have whatever I want upstairs, too.

I'll keep looking and watching, and maybe just wait 'til Aldi/Lidl get the A/V senders in again (£15 or £20 last time they had them, can't remember which).

Thanks for the help, though, guys!

Rob

Try Tesco mate.

I think the brand name is Technika or something like that. Black box with green writing on it.

There not fantastic but it will probably do what you want it to do
