Default Free to Air or Free to View?

I've been following the postings of new channels and find that some don't seem to be found by my Fortec Box, especially in recent days. For example, Volksmusic Tests 12633H, 22,000 5/6 on Astra 1H, and Arte & Arte at 10949V, 27500 on 13E. These are listed as free but I can't find them. Am I doing something stupid or is there some encryption which I don't know about? Just curious.

I can get all on those transponders as free to air on my SS1 card with no emulation running.

I did something stupid. I re-scanned all satellites at the weekend following the gales and found that, when trying to find the newly listed ones, they were already buried in my great numbering system, albeit some of them under a slightly different name. I gather that the satellite decides what the channel is called. When an existing channel is scanned, the name appears in blue and when a new one is scanned, its name comes up in white lettering. I have, indeed, received the free ones mentioned and apologise for my stupidity!!

Nobody should feel stupid for making a mistake. There will undoubtedly be someone else who reads this thread in the future and has their problem solved for them, whether they post here or not

Thanks for your understanding - I don't feel so daft now as I have secured better signal strengths after the "Damn Wind" - see other thread.
